NCC to host season s first roast beef supper

MIDDLEBORO —- When the tempting aroma of beef slowly roasting starts to emanate from the doors and windows of North Congregational Church, it is a sure sign that another season of the renowned annual dinners has begun. Accompanied by an array of vegetables, rolls, and homemade pies, the roast beef suppers are anxiously awaited by both those who have been attending for years and those new to the annual events.The dedicated team of volunteers from the local church is already preparing for the first dinner of the season, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 10. There are two seatings, the first at 5:00 p.m. and the second at 6:30 that evening. Tickets for both are $12 each (or $6 for children under the age of 12) and can be purchased by calling either (508) 821-4121 or (508) 947-0369.
