NCC Monroe campus to break ground Oct 18

The groundbreaking ceremony for Northampton Community College's Monroe campus will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, said President Arthur Scott on Thursday during his annual address to the campus.The new school would be about 1.5 miles from the existing building, off Route 715, across from the PPL headquarters. A tentative completion date for the $72 million project is the beginning of 2014. The campus will expand student capacity from 2,400 to 5,000.
